MICROPROCESSOR TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER RT-08 P LUX BUFOR is a controller of the heating system, in which the heat source is the water jacket stove whose operation is controlled by the air damper controlling the combustion process. Heat receivers are: BUFFER tank, the hot water storage tank (HW) and central heating (CH). The primary function of the controller is to maintain the temperature in the water jacket at a preset level. That is carried out by the corresponding opening of the air damper that supplies air to the combustion chamber depending on the temperature measured in the water jacket. Operation of the air damper is realized on the basis of comparing the temperature set by the user with real temperature of the water jacket of the stove and depending on the temperature difference the air damper is correspondingly closed or opened. In one cycle the air damper opens by 10% (100% - a full opening), then the rest time is being counted down after which the air damper can change its position. The rest time can be individually specified by the user in the range of 30 s to 10 min. Each time you switch on the air damper the corresponding LED lights up on the control panel. The loss of voltage in the grid or turning off the controller from the mains causes the air damper to be set in a fully closed state, thus cutting off the air supply to the combustion chamber. The task of the controller is also to control the load pump of the BUFFER tank. The pump works when the stove temperature exceeds the activation value of the load pump of the buffer and is higher than the temperature of the buffer. The controller also controls the load pump of the hot water storage tank. The HW pump is active if the temperature of the buffer exceeds the activation value of the HW pump and is also higher than the temperature of the hot water storage tank. Another function is to control the circulating pump of the central heating. The pump runs if the temperature of the BUFfer tank exceeds the switch-on temperature of the CH pump. It is possible to turn on the HW priority. The controller is equipped with a timer that controls the HW priority in selected times of the day. The controller uses a backlit LCD display giving full descriptive data on the current operation of the controller and usability features that are subject to change. The controller equipment also includes alarms indicating the failure of one of the temperature sensors and overheating of the water in the system, which, in addition to audible and light signals, causes switching on the continuous operation of both pumps and complete closing of the air damper in order to achieve a safe burnout of the furnace. Just like in the other models offered by TATAREK for this type of application, it also has an anti-freeze alarm system and „Anti-stop“ feature, which is activated ocassionally outside the heating season to protect pumps against jamming.
